CARLISLE, Pa. – Senior
Sara Graham (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) broke the indoor school record in the shot put to help lead the Gettysburg College women's track and field team to a third-place finish at the DuCharme Classic, hosted by Dickinson College, on Saturday.

The Bullets scored 62 points and finished behind only Dickinson, which captured the team title with 170 points, and Messiah College, which took runner-up honors with 103 points.

Graham unleashed a throw of 39 feet, 8 and 3/4 inches, over a foot and a half better than her previous indoor best and nearly a foot farther than the former record of 38-9 3/4 set by Jane D'Addario '08 in 2007. Graham placed second in a field of 38 and now holds both the indoor and outdoor school record in the event.

Ellery Lyon (Sheldonville, Mass./King Philip) also claimed runner-up honors, clearing 4-11 in the high jump while competing in a field of 19.

Sarah Congdon (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) and freshman
Abigail Rec (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) scored in two events apiece by virtue of their top-eight finish. Congdon was third in the 200-meter dash (28.48) and fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.22) while Rec placed fourth in both the long jump (16-5 3/4) and triple jump (32-11). Rec's effort in the long jump moved her into 10th in school history in the event.

Emily Wielk (West Haven, Conn./Sacred Heart) added a fourth-place showing in the 400-meter dash (1:05.21) while classmate
Hailey Moseman (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) placed sixth in the same event (1:06.38). Also taking sixth were junior
Mikaela Collins (Attleboro, Mass./Bishop Feehan) in the shot put (36-2 1/4) sophomore
Sarah Rinehart (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) in the 3,000-meter run (11:08.28).

Abby Hines (Silver Spring, Md./James Hubert Blake) in the 800-meter run (2:31.91) and sophomore
Margot Hoagland (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North) in the 5,000-meter run (20:31.84). Also picking up points with their eighth-place finishes were senior
Amanda Wivell (Windsor, Pa./Red Lion) in the 800 (2:32.11) and freshman
Katharine Taylor (Belmar, N.J./Saint Rose) in the shot put (34-9 1/2).
