LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior
Ben Taber (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) shattered the school record in the 3,000-meter run, leading four members of the Gettysburg College men's indoor track and field team at the Bucknell Tune-Up Friday evening.

Taking on 22 Division I and II competitors, Taber placed second with a time of 8:38.46 – just two seconds behind race winner Harrison Schettler of Division II Shippensburg and eight seconds faster than the previous Gettysburg record set by Brenden Repack '12 in 2011.

It was the second school record of the winter for Taber, who also broke the 5,000 record (15:07.31) at the Lehigh John Covert Classic on Jan. 28.

Two other Bullets also broke into the school's all-time top-10 Friday night. In the 800-meter run, senior
Nathan Wojick (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) placed third in a field of 17 with a time of 1:56.77, a mark that ranks him fourth in school history and a personal record (PR) by nearly three seconds.

Sophomore
Alex Petrecca (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) also set a PR with a time of 4:26.92 in the mile, which places him eighth all-time at Gettysburg. He came in second among nine competitors in the event.

Senior
Collin Bergey (Zionsville, Pa./Southern Lehigh) was also in action and placed sixth in the 400-meter dash (52.23) and 10th in the 200-meter dash (23.23).

The remainder of the team will compete at the Dickinson DuCharme Classic on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.
