BALTIMORE, Md.--Swarthmore College Men's Tennis lost 5-3 at Johns Hopkins University on Saturday. It was the last Centennial Conference match for both teams, and both teams were undefeated before it started.
The Garnet (12-11 overall, 8-1 conference) will enter the conference playoffs in Baltimore as the No. 2 seed.
Swarthmore had a 2-1 lead after doubles. The freshmen pair of
Thibault Vernier and
John Lathrop won 8-6 in the second spot. Freshman
Jiung Jung and junior
Simon Vernier won by 8-0 shutout in the No. 3 position.
Only
Simon Vernier won a singles match for the Ganet.
Swarthmore's next competition will be in the Centennial Conference playoffs.
