The Muhlenberg men's golf team played for the second time this spring and placed second out of seven teams at the Moravian Spring Invitational.

The Mules ended the day at Southmoore Golf Course with a team score of 309, 14 strokes off of Cabrini's winning score and 11 strokes better than host-Moravian's third place mark.

Three golfers finished in the top 10, including freshman
Sam Gersten and sophomore
Ben Lieberman tying for fourth place with a 76. Gersten birdied the par-4 seventh hole, while Lieberman
(pictured above) birdied the par-3 12th and made consecutive birdies on 17 and 18 as well.

Senior
John Froberg tied for seventh with a 77, sinking birdie putts on the first, seventh, eighth and 17th holes.

Sophomore
Ian Simon and junior
Robert Borkow finished one stroke apart to round out Muhlenberg's five. Simon shot an 80 and tied for 13th, carding birdies at holes eight and 12. Borkow tied for 17th with an 81.

Muhlenberg is scheduled to play in two more events in the next six days, traveling to compete at the Elizabethtown Invitational on Thursday.
