LITITZ, PA. – The Ursinus College men's golf team returned to action on Monday afternoon, earning an 11th-place finish at the F&M Fall Invitational.
The Bears had five members compete at the Bent Creek Country Club a par-71 course that stretches over 6660 yards.
Senior
Jordan Pick finished his round with a T-31
st place finish tallying a 7-over 78. His day was highlighted with a birdie on the par-four 5
th hole and closed out his round with nine pars. The Bears earned a final team tally of 336 (+52), while Franklin and Marshall won the team title with a team total of 284 (E). Dickinson (287) and Swarthmore (287) tied for second as Gettysburg (290), and Alvernia (296) rounded out the top five.
Junior
Evan Coffey finished T-42nd, signing for an 81(+10) and closed out his round with nine pars. Coffey's day was highlighted with a 40 (+5) on the front nine including three consecutive pars on holes four through six. Classmate
Billy Cardino finished just ahead with a T-40th-place finish signing for a nine-over 80. Cardino earned two birdies on the afternoon on the par-five 9
th and par-five 12
th holes. He closed out his back nine with four consecutive pars signing for a 38 on the back nine.
Junior
Michael Nikolaou closed out his round with a final tally of 97 (55
th), while Senior
Mike Magargee finished just behind signing for a 100(56
th). Nikolaou's day was highlighted with birdies on the par-four 7
th and the par-three 13
th holes. Magargee had an impressive back nine earning five pars while totaling a 48 over the final nine holes.
The Bears will return to action tomorrow as they travel to Limerick, Pennsylvania for the Turtle Creek Intercollegiate at 11am.
