GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's cross country team hosted the 53rd annual Little Three Meet on Friday. Senior Sarah Rinehart (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) led the Bullets as she finished 12th in a field of 48 runners. Rinehart scaled the 5,000-meter course in 20:48.4.
The Bullets defeated Franklin & Marshall 20-41 but lost 50-15 to 18th-ranked Dickinson, which won its 25th consecutive Little Three title. Dickinson also defeated F&M 15-50.
Sophomore Michelle O'Malley (Locust, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) placed 14th with a time of 20:54.9.
Rounding out the team scoring were freshman Amy Milner who came in 15th in 20:58.0, senior Margot Hoagland (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North), who placed 16th in 21:02.4, and senior Colleen Campbell (21:15), who was 18th in 21:15.0.
Finishing as displacers were senior Danielle DeMichael (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East), who placed 19th in 21:17.6, and freshman Kathrin O'Brien (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) who took 23rd in 21:28.4.
Dickinson claimed the top-10 spots with Isabel Cardi capturing first place.
Gettysburg continues its season next Saturday, when it competes at the Kutztown University DII/DIII Challenge.
