LANCASTER, Pa.–The Swarthmore College men's indoor track and field team resumed competition on Saturday, Jan. 14 with strong showings at the Coach I Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall College.
Sophomores
Benjamin Hejna,
Jared Hunt and
Benjamin Warren each finished second in their respective events. Hejna was the runner-up in the triple jump with a distance of 12.37m while Hunt threw 13.42m in the shot put. Warren placed second in the 400-meter dash in 52.95.
In the 1000-meter run,
Stuart Arbuckle finished fourth (2:43.49), right in front of teammate
Evan Baker (2:45.32). Senior
John Gagnon placed sixth in the one mile race with a time of 4:23.59.
The Garnet compete next at the Widener Field Meet on Friday, Jan. 27 at 5 p.m.
