SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- Swarthmore College Women's Basketball lost 82-59 to Wesleyan University at Tarble Pavilion on Saturday.
The Garnet (1-2) were coming off of an 80-46 rout of Goucher College on Friday, their largest win since Feb. 11, 2015.
Swarthmore never had a lead on the Cardinals (1-1), falling behind 23-10 in the first quarter. The Garnet lost the next three quarters by two, five and three.
Junior guard
Elizabeth Stiles led Swarthmore in scoring with a career-high 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field.
Sophomore forward
Kendall Tribus hauled in a career-best nine rebounds to lead the Garnet in that category.
The Garnet had trouble slowing down a trio of Wesleyan players that scored 19, 18 and 17 points, combining for 65.9 percent of its teams scoring attack.
Swarthmore is back on the road as it begins Centennial Conference play with a game at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
