th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win over Bates at the Blue-Gray Invitational Friday afternoon.

• Hopkins opened the match with a sweep of the doubles to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Sophomore
Anjie Kashyap and junior
Sophia Strickland picked up an 8-2 win at first over Hannah Sweeney and Anna Rozin.
• Senior
Kimberly Zou and sophomore
Dhanya Asokumar were 8-4 winners at second over Bella Stone and Isabelle Rovinski. Senior
Chrissy Simon and freshman
Jessica Liang grabbed an 8-5 win over Lauren Hernandez and Sydney Byrnes at third.
• Kashyap clinched the win for the Blue Jays with her 6-4, 6-0 win over Sweeney at first singles. Stone picked up the lone point for the Bobcats with a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (9) win over Strickland at second
• Zou came from behind to beat Rozin 5-7, 7-6, 1-0 (4) at third. Asokumar also won in three sets as she beat Suzanne Elfman 6-1, 2-6, 7-5 at fourth.
• At fifth, freshman
Evelyn Chang needed just two sets to beat Rovinski 6-2, 6-3. And at sixth, Liang dropped just one game in her win over Hernandez, 6-1, 6-0.
