• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's track & field team showed off its depth and versatility in the NYC Division III Invitational as the Blue Jays scored in almost every event group during the event on Friday as the Blue Jays won the event with 98.5 points.

Johns Hopkins Winners:
• Alex Doran won the mile by just over two seconds as he crossed the finish line in 4:16.70. The time is the seventh-fastest in program history and cut almost 24 seconds off his previous best time.

Matthew Su took first-place in the long jump with a leap of 7.00m.
Other Meet Highlights:
•In the 5K,
Tyler Amos finished in sixth with a time of 15:27.24 while the Blue Jay distance medley team of
Rob Dembinski,
Sam Mollin,
Alex Dixon and
Panth Patel finished in second with a time of 10:27.81. Dixon notched a sub-two-minute leg in the 800m part of the race as he clocked in at 1:57.71.
• Su finished second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.09 and
Justin Canedy finished right behind him in third with a time of 7.14 while
Rafael Ferguson finished in fifth with a time of 7.16.
• Canedy finished behind Su in the long jump with a leap of 6.78m and earned a third-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.88m.
• JHU had many other big performances in the mile run with five other runners finishing between 4:24-4:26 with
Jack Armand leading the group with a personal-best time of 4:24.90.
• In the pole vault,
Benjamin Huang finished in second with a mark of 4.41m.

Ted Oh almost took home the victory in the 800m but ultimately finished in second with a time of 1:56.35. Freshman
Alex Ozbolt didn't finish too far behind, clocking in with a time of 1:58.66.
• In the 3K race,
Patrick Dye finished in fifth with a time of 8:44.13 while
Will Howe crossed the line in ninth with a time of 8:45.89. Both dropped almost 14 seconds from their previous 3K races.
Tyler Amos took almost a full minute off his previous best time in the 5K as he finished sixth with a time of 15:27.24.

We had a lot of guys step up with some big PRs while many others rewrote their season getting back on track and ready for championships.
