HONEY BROOK, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Golf finished second out of 15 teams in this weekend's Rosemont Raven Invitational, carding a 295 on the first day and a 322 on the second day at Honeybrook Golf Club to finish 49-over par.
Swarthmore finished nine strokes off the leader, York College. After Saturday's near perfect weather conditions transformed into less than desirable conditions on Sunday, every team shot worse in the second round. The average depreciation in team scores from day one to day two was 31.4 strokes.
Swarthmore junior Vamsi Damerla came in a three-way tie for second overall with a 151 (+9) after shooting a 72 in the first round and a 79 in the second.
Dan Altieri and Michael Brown tied for 11th with 155s (+13). Nick DiMaio was just two stokes behind them at 157 (+15) for Swarthmore's fourth score.
Ankur Malik carded a 167 and Max Katz-Balmes shot a 168.
Swarthmore is scheduled to compete at the Ace Club on Tuesday.
