WESTMINSTER, Md. – Seniors
Sam Nonemaker (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg),
Oliver Pickering (Millburn, N.J./Millburn), and
Duncan Proxmire (McLean, Va./Langley) each won two events as Gettysburg College swept past McDaniel College for a 78-16 victory in a Centennial Conference dual meet at Harlow Pool on Friday night.

Meet Highlights
- Gettysburg earned the top two spots in both relays. Junior Nick Cox (Purcellville, Va./Ponte Vedra) swam on both winning squads, including leading off the 200 medley relay ahead of junior Zac Evans (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township), Nonemaker, and sophomore Hunter Sundlun (Richmond, Va./Saint Christopher's School). The quarter posted a time of 1:37.39. Cox swam the third leg of the 200 free relay, following senior Brian Berry (Canton, Conn./Canton) and Pickering with Proxmire serving as the anchor and touching the wall in 1:30.67.
- Nonemaker won his two combined individual events by nearly a combined 12 seconds. In the 200 free, he hit the wall in 1:47.93 and he capped his evening by posting the team's second-fastest time of the season in the 100 breast at 59.54.
- Pickering out-touched Sundlun for the win in the 50 free, beating the sophomore by just 0.11 seconds at 22.35. The Bullet senior out-dueled another teammate in the 100 fly, edging sophomore Declan Sheeran (McLean, Va./McLean) with a time of 53.13. Sheeran finished in 55.87.
- Proxmire handily won the 1,000 free in a two-man race with Aleksei Dudley of McDaniel, winning by nearly 20 seconds at 9:58.76. The Gettysburg senior had a spirited showdown with Cox in the 100 free and managed to hold off the junior by just over a second with a time of 49.58.
- Berry kept up the strong showing for the Gettysburg seniors by winning the 100 back with a time of 56.93. Additional wins for the Bullets came from sophomore Luke McKenna (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford Area) in the 400 IM (4:18.38) and freshman Joe Curry (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) in the 500 free (5:03.06.

Gettysburg improved to 50-0 against McDaniel in a series that began in 1972.
