CHESTER, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Track & Field competed at the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University on Friday and Saturday. Swarthmore's best performances came from the field.
Andrew Jansen finished second in the discus with a throw of 42.11 meters. Jared Hunt came in seventh with a throw of 37.88m.
In the shot put, Ryan Marrone finished third overall with a toss of 13.81m. Hunt and Jansen took sixth and eighth, respectively, in the event.
Jansen also had the 10th best hammer throw (37.09m).
Daniel Belkin cleared 1.90m for a tie for second in the high jump and also came in ninth in the long and triple jumps.
In the pole vault, Alex Flowers finished in fourth and Max Park in eighth.
The Garnet 4x400 relay team of Saadiq Garba, Judah Raab, Benjamin Warren and Belkin put out the second-best time in the Centennial Conference this year (3:30.29) and finished seventh overall.
Swarthmore returns to action this weekend with competitions at West Chester University and Princeton University.
