The Muhlenberg field hockey team fell at DeSales, 4-1, in its first road game of the season.

The Bulldogs scored three first-half goals and extended their lead to 4-0 midway through the second half. 

Sophomore Rachel Richards (pictured above) prevented the shutout by scoring her fifth career goal with 3:44 remaining. Freshman Maleah Hess assisted on the goal, which came off a penalty corner, for her first career point.

Freshman Kasey Mitchell, pressed into emergency service, made four saves in her first game as a goalie.
