The Muhlenberg men's tennis team completed a 3-0 opening weekend by sweeping local rivals Moravian and DeSales.
The Mules showed their depth in posting 8-1 wins in both matches. Eight different players recorded singles wins, and six different doubles teams combined to go 5-1.
Juniors
Jason Grant and
Adam Kronick and sophomore
Daniel Kantor (pictured above) both went 2-0 in singles play, all winning in straight sets both times. Grant lost only three games in his four sets and added a doubles win against Moravian.
Senior
Alex Dagilis and freshman
Benedict Kohler split No. 1 singles, both winning comfortably. Kohler was 2-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Senior
Andrew Natko notched a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 6 vs. Moravian.
Junior
Gavin Meyers played the most exciting match of the day, dropping a tiebreak in the first set before coming back to win the second and prevail 12-10 in the third-set supertiebreaker vs. DeSales.
