ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Junior
Danny Harcourt (Fanwood, N.J./Saint Peter's Prep) broke par for the second time in his last three rounds, leading the Gettysburg College men's golf at the McDaniel College Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic Saturday and Sunday at The Bridges Golf Club.

In the second round of the tournament, Harcourt fired a 1-under 71 after shooting a 79 on a very windy opening round on Saturday. He finished with 150 and placed sixth among 89 competitors.
As a team, Gettysburg shot a 630 (321-309), finishing in a three-way tie for eighth place among 16 schools.

The reigning Centennial Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week, Harcourt also shot a 1-under 71 at the Lebanon Valley Invitational this past Monday.

Finishing close behind was freshman
Quinn Greene (New Milford, Conn./Canterbury School), who shot a personal season-best, even-par 72 on the second day. He placed 19th with a 154 (82-72).

Freshman
Daniel Rieger (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) tied for 44th with a 161 (79-82) while junior
Christian Haldeman (Center Valley, Pa./Moravian Academy) tied for 64th with a 168 (81-87). Freshman
Jimmy Harcourt (Fanwood, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) also competed and placed 79th with a 176 (91-84).

Swarthmore's Dan Altieri claimed medalist honors with a 148 (75-73) while McDaniel captured the team title with a 606 (306-300).

Gettysburg returns to action on Wednesday, when it hosts the Gettysburg Fall Invitational, held at the Hanover Country Club in Abbottstown, Pa.
