The Muhlenberg track and field teams tuned up for next weekend's Centennial Conference Championships by competing at Haverford's Keogh Invitational.

The top performance of the meet was by freshman Zach Lill, who improved his personal best in the pole vault by nearly four inches, moving up from eighth to seventh on the all-time performance list with a height of 13-5¼. Only three CC athletes have posted better marks this season.

The top event of the meet was the men's 800 meters, where junior Corey Mullins and senior Anthony Calantoni both placed in the top five with ECAC-qualifying times. 

The 4x200-meter relay team of freshman Jeff Alvarez, sophomores Christopher Dasaro and Michael Rainone and junior Mike Bessette scored the highest place for the men's team, coming in second. Rainone also was seventh in the 60. For the women, sophomore Alison Stouffer and freshman Alana Noehrenberg tied for second in the high jump.

Senior Hayley Steckler won her heat of the 400, placing eighth overall. Sophomore Rashida Haye (pictured above left) was eighth in the hurdles.

Winning heats for the men were juniors Christopher Funge in the 400 and Stuart Bibeau in the 800. Sophomore Matt Polanco, fourth in the hurdles, and freshman Andrew Fiore (pictured above right), seventh in the long jump, also placed in the top 8.
