• The Short Story: In a matchup of top-10 teams, it was eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins coming out victorious against #4 TCNJ as the Blue Jays shut out the Lions, 1-0 on Wednesday night.  

How it Happened
• The teams were scoreless until the 23^rd minute when Rachel Jackson got the ball down the left side of the field and stuck a shot into the right corner of the new to give Hopkins a 1-0 lead.
• In the second half, TCNJ put on an offensive flurry in an effort to tie the game, but the Blue Jay defense made play after play to keep the Lions scoreless.
• Late in the game, TCNJ has its best scoring chance of the evening as after a shot by Jess Hall, Alexandra Damron came from behind to keep the ball out of the back of the net. A scrum then ensued in front of the Hopkins net, but Robyn Lipschultz made another save to keep the Lions off the board.
• Lipschultz made many great saves throughout the half including one with just over five minutes to go and another with nine seconds remaining as JHU would take the 1-0 victory.

What it Means
• The Blue Jays are 6-12-2 all-time against the Lions.
• TCNJ is the third ranked team JHU has faced so far this season. Hopkins is 2-1 in those games.
• Seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams have been decided by one goal, including a 2-2 tie.

• Lipschultz made 10 saves in net as she recorded her second win on the year and first shutout victory.
• Jackson's goal was her fifth on the season as she now has 12 points in four games.
• TCNJ outshot the Blue Jays 18-11 including 15-4 in the second half. The Lions put 11 shots on net while JHU put six on goal.
