The Muhlenberg women's golf team finished third for the second consecutive tournament, shooting a season-best 369 at the McDaniel Spring Invitational.
The Mules improved their score from the first tournament of the spring by nearly 20 strokes. They were just 10 strokes behind seven-time defending Centennial Conference champion Gettysburg and finished ahead of three other CC teams (Dickinson, McDaniel and Franklin & Marshall).
Junior
Aine Filler, the reigning CC player of the week, shot an 86 to tie for fourth, four strokes off the lead. She shot consecutive birdies on the par-5 fifth hole and the par-4 sixth.
Sophomore
Kat Hodges also finished in the top 10, tying for eighth with an 89. She landed a birdie on the par-4 twelfth hole.
Senior
Ashley Noel (pictured above), who tied for 13th with a career-best round of 94, was the only golfer in the field of 44 to birdie the longest hole on the course. She finished the 520-yard 15th hole in four strokes.
