The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team fell behind early and could never catch up, falling at home to Montclair State, 19-9, in a makeup of a game postponed by lightning four days ago.

The Red Hawks (4-3) scored the first goal of the game and led 3-1 midway through the first half. The teams seesawed between a three-goal margin and a two-goal margin for most of the next 30 minutes, with the Mules (3-2) drawing to within 11-9 midway through the second half.

Muhlenberg did not score again, however, and Montclair scored the final eight goals to pull away.

Senior Amanda Tullo scored three goals for her fifth straight hat trick to start the season, while senior Emma Carmody and junior Victoria Friedel netted two goals apiece. Carmody (pictured above) has 10 goals in her last three games, and her 12 goals this season are just one short of her career high.

One game after tying a school record with seven caused turnovers, reigning Centennial Conference defensive player of the week Gabriella Crivelli picked up a career-high seven ground balls.
