Fourteen different players scored goals and sophomore Frankie Feaster broke a school record as the Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team toppled Gordon, 19-8, to improve to 5-0 for the first time in program history.

The Mules were 4-0 once before, in 2003, but lost their fifth game that season. The five-game winning streak is their second-longest ever, topped only by an eight-game run in 2008.

Muhlenberg is one of only four teams in Division III that has played at least five games and is still undefeated.

Feaster won 22 of 23 faceoffs, breaking the record of 21 faceoffs won set by Nick Rispoli in 2012. His .957 percentage also is a school record for more than 10 attempts. In addition to picking up 13 ground balls, Feaster scored a pair of goals off faceoff wins.

Sophomore Bobby McLoughlin led the scoring parade with three goals for his second career hat trick. Freshmen Ethan Grossman and Nate Emrick netted a pair of goals apiece, and three other freshmen - Dominick DiStefano, Brandon Moyer and Aaron Rudnet - all scored their first career goals.

The teams traded goals frequently in the first quarter and were tied 4-4 after 12 minutes. Junior Daniel Doreste broke the deadlock with his first goal of the season at the 2:19 mark of the first quarter, kicking off an 8-1 run that gave the Mules a commanding 12-5 lead by halftime.

The highlight of the run was consecutive behind-the-back goals by Grossman off passes from sophomore Jack Colt in a span of 42 seconds. Colt (pictured above) also fed DiStefano for his second-quarter goal to notch his fourth career three-assist game. 

Sophomore Declan Moylan scored his first goal of the season with one second left in the third quarter to make it 16-6, and Muhlenberg maintained a double-digit lead for most of the fourth quarter.

The Mule defense kept the Fighting Scots (2-2) out of the net on five extra-man opportunities; in fact, Gordon took only three shots in four minutes of playing a man up.

Senior Lance Gibson and junior Chris Markey split the last 20 minutes in goal, combining for five saves while allowing only two goals.
