Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Bonvini Reaches Milestone in Women's Lax Loss

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team took a lead deep into the second half at Dickinson, but three straight goals for Dickinson, including one in the final second, resulted in a 10-9 loss.

Senior Jordy Bonvini achieved a career milestone with her 200th point on a first-half assist on an Emma Charron goal. Charron's goal put the Mules (6-7, 2-5 CC) up 5-3 at the time. The Red Devils (7-7, 4-3 CC) scored the next two goals to tie the game before Bonvini tallied two straight scores to make it 7-5.

Dickinson tied the game again at 7-7 with the first goal of the second half, but Muhlenberg responded with two goals in 32 seconds. Bonvini netted the first score to give herself a hat trick, and sophomore Courtney Allen added her second goal of the game off a pass from senior Eliza Clark.

Muhlenberg continued to hold its lead deep into the second half until the Red Devils tied the game with 11:39 remaining. Each team had multiple cracks at scoring the winning goal, but it was Dickinson that broke through with a last-second shot that went in the net.

Bonvini is the eighth Mule to reach 200 career points. Her three goals also moved her into fourth on the Mules all-time goals list (153).

Junior Amanda Tullo scored three of Muhlenberg's first four goals of the game to record her eighth hat trick of the season. Tullo has scored at least three goals in five straight games and seven of her last eight. With one more hat trick, she will have reached 100 career goals.

Sophomore Jordan Segrave improved on her career high with 15 saves, including nine in the second half. Charron led the Mules with four ground balls.
