EWING, N.J.—No. 21 Swarthmore College Women's Swimming raced to second overall in the three-day TCNJ Invitational.
Swarthmore tallied up eight first-place finishes, eight second-place finishes and 10 third-place finishes.
The Garnet women won the 500-yard freestyle and had five of the top eight spots. Anna Lyn's winning time of 5:08.38 is the fastest time in the Centennial Conference this season.
Sayaka Vaules edged the competition in the 50 free, winning the event in 24.47.
Swarthmore's 400 medley relay team cleared the four-minute mark, taking first place in 3:58.67.
Sophia Lee picked up a personal best 400 IM time of 4:43.22, smoking the competition by seven seconds exactly.
Lyn earned her second win of the weekend in the 200 free with a 1:56.27 in the finals. Her 1:56.01 in the prelims was the fastest Centennial time this year.
Freshman Gaby Ma took first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.60.
Hannah Kloetzer won the first full length 1,650 free race of the season while being the only swimmer under 18 minutes.
In the 200 breast, Annabella Boardman and Ma went one-two with Boardman winning in 2:27.64 and Ma right behind at 2:27.85.
Next up for Swarthmore is a quad-meet in New Providence, N.J. to start the 2020 calendar year.
