CHESTER, Pa.--Swarthmore College Men's Track and Field competed at the Chester Quarry Classic on Saturday.
In the 1,500-meters,
John Gagnon led the Garnet with a sub-4:00 time of 3:58.56 and finished sixth among Division III runners.
Adil Belgaumi finished in 10th overall in the 100-meter dash and third amond DIII runners (11.64).
Noah Lifset was three tenths of a second behind Belgaumi and was fifth among DIII runners. In the 200, Belgaumi finished in seventh (3rd: DIII) with a time of 22.95.
Saadiq Garba and
Alex Robey both ran the 800 meters in under two minutes. Garba finished in 14th (1:59.38) and Robey in 15th (1:59.66). Both were in the top-10 of DIII runners.
Daniel Belkin had the top DIII mark in the high jump (1.85m) and
Jerry Qin had the third-best DIII mark in the pole vault (3.75m).
Benjamin Hejna had the second-best DIII mark in the triple jump (13.69m).
In the discus,
Andrew Jansen and
Jared Hunt had the top DIII marks with throws of 41.76m and 39.56m respectively. Jansen's throw topped his personal best and is sixth best in Swat history.
Swarthmore returns to Widener for competition next weekend.
