Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Bonvini Sets Career High in Women's Lacrosse Win

A strong start and a big performance from senior Jordy Bonvini led the Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team to a 17-11 home victory over Connecticut College.

The Mules (3-2) tallied the first six scores of the game and took a nine-goal lead into halftime. Bonvini scored five goals on five shots and assisted on two more goals in the first half, then added each of Muhlenberg's last three scores to finish with a new career high of 10 points. Her eight goals also eclipsed her previous career best of seven goals she scored last year against Haverford.

Bonvini now has 176 career points, moving into 13th in the Muhlenberg record book. She also finished with a season-best nine draw controls, giving her 266 for her career.

Senior Eliza Clark recorded both of her goals in the first 12 minutes in helping Muhlenberg take its 6-0 lead. Junior Emma Carmody then notched her first goal of the season after a Camels (2-4) score. The two teams traded scores with Bonvini and sophomores Emma Charron and Gabriella Crivelli finding the net for the Mules.

Bonvini converted two more shots late in the first half, and Charron closed the half with her third goal of the game to make it 13-4 Mules. Charron also scored 21 seconds into the second half off a pass from junior Amanda Tullo.

The Camels then started a run of their own before Bonvini ended the streak with two straight scores that helped put the game out of reach.

Charron finished with five points, adding an assist to her four goals. Tullo and Clark each recorded three points, with Tullo assisting two goals and scoring one.

Sophomore Jordan Segrave saved four shots in picking up her third victory of the season. Crivelli led the Mules with three caused turnovers, while junior Melissa Rudberg and sophomore Victoria Friedel (pictured above) each caused two turnovers.

The Mules controlled the draw for most of the game, winning 21-of-30 draw controls. Junior Caroline Dolan recorded seven draw controls, and Charron added five draw controls as well.
