Women's Lacrosse Rolls in CC Opener

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team scored eight goals in the first six minutes and went on to defeat Bryn Mawr, 19-4, in its first Centennial Conference game of the season.

Fourteen different players recorded points for the Mules (4-2, 1-0). Leading the way was senior Jordy Bonvini, who scored five goals on six shots for her 24th career hat trick. The five points moved her into a tie for 10th place on the program's all-time list with 181 for her career.

Junior Amanda Tullo also contributed five points, on three goals and two assists, and sophomore Victoria Friedel scored three goals to net her first career hat trick.

Senior Eliza Clark tied her career high with four points on a goal and three assists.

Friedel scored off a feed from junior Emma Carmody just 33 seconds into the game, and Muhlenberg did not slow down, scoring three goals in a span of 45 seconds to open up a 6-0 lead just 5:06 into the game. Clark (pictured above) assisted on three straight goals - by Bonvini, freshman Taliah Carson and junior Alex Hyatt - to make it 11-0 before the Owls (1-2, 0-1) had an offensive possession.

The Mules led 14-0 at the half and 18-0 midway through the second half.

Junior Erin Duca scored her first goal of the season, and freshman Erin Rogers recorded her first career point with an assist.
