GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's basketball team rolled to its 17th overall Centennial Conference victory with a 64-38 decision against Washington College Saturday afternoon inside Bream Gym on Senior Day. Today's win also marked the third consecutive 20-win season for the Bullets.
 
Gettysburg, (20-3, 17-1 CC), which maintained its hold on first place in the Centennial Conference standings, never trailed in the contest. Washington (7-15, 4-13) lost its fourth-straight conference game.
 
Senior Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) poured out 19 points, hitting 5-of-7 from three-point range and five rebounds. Junior Kiera Cesareo (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) came off the bench to produce 12 points. Freshman Seanna McNamara (Berwyn, Pa./TheEpiscopal Academy) pulled down a career-high eight rebounds and added six points and three assists. Sophomore Meredith Brown (Landisburg, Pa./West Perry) logged in seven boards and six points.
 
With her five rebounds, Dorshimer became the 13th player in program history to grab 500 rebounds and score 1,000 career points.
 
Emily Thiemann led the Shorewomen with 10 points and six rebounds.
 
The duo senior class worked flawlessly together in the opening minutes of the first quarter as Dorshimer drained back-to-back treys with Teal Tasker (Chambersburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) dishing both assists. On the next two possessions, a three and a jumper by the Shorewomen brought them within one (6-5) with 6:57 on the clock. The visitors never came that close again as Gettysburg closed the opening quarter by going on a 10-3 run. Dorshimer netted 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting, making 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, in the period.
 
Leading 18-9 after one period, the Bullets scored the first seven points of the second quarter to take a 16-point lead. Gettysburg's defense buckled down and held the Shorewomen to just six points, causing six turnovers, in the period to head into intermission with the 33-15 advantage.
 
Washington used a 9-3 run to start the third quarter, cutting the advantage down to 12. The lead would not dip below 15 in the remaining 13 minutes and reached a game-high 26 on a lay-up by sophomore Haley Race (West Palm Beach, Fla./Oxbridge Academy) with 57 seconds left.

Gettysburg finished 22-of-56 (39.3 percent) from the floor and hit 10-of-16 (62.5 percent) free throws. The Bullets won the rebounding battle 47-39. Washington ended the game 16-of-66 (24.2 percent) from the floor overall.
 
Gettysburg visits Dickinson College (12-11, 9-9 CC) on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m.
