HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Track & Field participated at the Seamus McElligott Invitational on Saturday and posted some strong results, particularly in the field events.
Daniel Belkin finished in first place in the high jump (1.85 meters) and long jump (6.35m) and took second in the triple jump (12.83m).
Benjamin Hejna came in third in the long jump (6.14m) and fourth in the high jump (1.75m).
In the pole vault, Max Park and
Alex Flowers finished second and third, respectively, with maximum clearance of 3.80m.
Jared Hunt won the shot put with his first throw, a distance of 14.76m.
Andrew Jansen came in fourth at 13.01m.
On the track,
Adil Belgaumi sprinted to first in the 60m dash (7.29) and came in third in the 200m (23.48).
Freshman
Kevin Hudson ran the mile in 4:29.15 and took third place.
Saadiq Garba posted a fifth-place finish in the 400 (54.34).
Swarthmore competes at the Frank Colden and Villanova Invites next Saturday.
