A two-run double by freshman
Sophie Chong gave the Mules a 9-5 lead in the fourth, but the Cougars (11-9) tied the game with three in the fifth and won it with five in the sixth.
Senior
Karissa Astrella doubled in the first inning of the nightcap and eventually scored on a wild pitch. Despite putting runners on in every inning, however, the Mules could not score again until the fifth, and Misericordia blew the game open with a six-run second inning.
Sweeney notched her second career three-hit game in the nightcap, while freshman
Elise Enslin had two hits, including a double.
Muhlenberg is hitting .374 as a team over its last 14 games and .341 for the season. The Mules have scored as many runs (126) through 22 games this season as they did in 38 games all last year.
