Despite another home run by junior
Kristina Qualben, the Muhlenberg softball team dropped a pair of games in Kissimmee, Florida, falling to Heidelberg, 11-3, and Alfred, 7-1.
Qualben homered for the second straight day and the 11th time in her career in the opening game, launching a three-run blast to center in the bottom of the second to account for all of the Mules' runs.Â
Muhlenberg fell behind Alfred early before made a comeback bid in the top of the seventh. Junior
Allyson Sweeney led off the inning with a single and scored on a single by senior
Haley Fedak - the fourth hit of the inning. The Mules (3-5) needed one more baserunner to get the tying run to the on-deck circle but left the bases loaded.
Senior
Hanna Caiola had two hits in the nightcap, raising her season average to .379.
