  • Short Story: Carlos Leyva earned a 4-0 decision at 285 pounds to break an 18-18 tie, sending No. 11 Ferrum College to a 21-18 come-from-behind victory over No. 3 Stevens Institute of Technology wrestling team Saturday. The victory by the Panthers snapped Stevens' dual meet winning streak at 37.
  • How it happened: Stevens earned victories at 125 pounds, 133 pounds and 141 pounds to open the dual with a 14-0 lead. The Ducks collected a pair of major decisions and a fall to jump out to an early lead. Ferrum earned wins at each of the eight remaining weight classes to storm back for the victory.
  • The victories by junior Joey Borai, sophomore Troy Stanich and senior Zach Wilhelm  extended their unbeaten streaks to open the 2017-18 season. 
  • The Ducks last dual meet defeat was to then-No. 16 Baldwin Wallace University at the Waynesburg Duals on December 12, 2015.
