HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Gettysburg College men's tennis team made a quick work of Nebraska Wesleyan University with a 9-0 sweep in non-conference action on Monday.
 
Gettysburg (5-1) swept Nebraska Wesleyan (1-4) in doubles play. The top flight tandem of junior Mike Mills (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) and senior Kevin Maier (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) and the No. 3 pairing of sophomores Harrison Brown (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and Drew Warren (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) each tallied 8-0 decisions. Seniors Andrew Corwin (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) and Nick D'Amore (Scotch Plains, N.J./Wardlaw-Hartridge) finished with a score of 8-3 at No. 2.
 
D'Amore cruised past Gabriel Sellmer 6-1, 6-4 at the top flight. Mills and Maier captured the No. 2 and No. 3 with scores of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-3, respectively. Sophomore Tommy Gilio (New Canaan, Conn./New Canann) grinded out a 6-1, 4-6, 10-3 win at No. 4, while Corwin picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5. Sophomore Harrison Brown (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) came out victorious at No. 6 as he collected 6-1, 6-1. 
 
Gettysburg returns to the court against Thomas More University Tuesday at 10 a.m.
