The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team eyed a major comeback at Rhodes, scoring the game's final six goals in the last 10:52 before falling short, 12-10.
 
The Mules (3-1) trailed 12-4 with just under 11 minutes to play before sophomore Ethan Grossman and junior Scott Fayan combined for three goals in less than a minute. Grossman began the comeback bid, scoring with 10:52 to go then again 18 seconds later, followed by Fayan finding the back of the net with 9:57 on the clock to pull Muhlenberg within five.
 
Freshman James Dalimonte made the score 12-8 on an unassisted effort at 7:17, before classmate Matt Marrella netted his fourth goal of the year at the four-minute mark and junior Jake Whittingslow scored with 58 ticks to go.
 
Dalimonte – who entered the day with three goals - had a breakout day, netting the Mules' first four goals and finishing the day with five. His eight goals this season are third most on the team and most among Muhlenberg freshmen.
 
Fayan and Grossman have each scored 10 goals on the year, tying for the team lead.
 
Freshman Kyle Lando led the defensive effort with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Sophomore Matt Hager also caused two turnovers. 

The Lynx (5-1) jumped out to the early lead with a five-goal first quarter.
