Gettysburg dropped 2-0 decision on Senior Day

GETTYSBURG, Pa.  – The 13th nationally-ranked Dickinson College topped the Gettysburg College women's soccer team 2-0 to close out the regular season on Senior Day at Clark Field Saturday night.

How It Happened…
  • First Half: Tate, who finished the regular season as the conference leader in goals, struck the back of the net about five yards outside the box off a free kick to put the Red Devils on top 1-0 10 minutes into the period. Sophomore Molly O'Shea (Reading, Pa./Wilson) and sophomore Kelly Gaudian (Arlington, Va./Washington-Lee) each gathered a shot on goal in the final 21 minutes of the period, but Boyer turned aside each one.
  • Second Half: The visitors added insurance in the final 5:02 of play as Tate ripped her second goal of the night into the lower left of the cage. The Bullets kept blasting shots in the final period, but none were able to get through.

  • Gettysburg finished with a 13-9 edge in shots, while both teams concluded with three corner kicks apiece.
