How It Happened…
  • First Half: The Bullets pounded three shots, two on goal, in the first 10 minutes, but were unable to convert as Juliano made the stops. The hosts grabbed the early lead at the 12:39 marker as Rose collected her second goal of the season off an assist from Merlo. Gettysburg finished the half with the 9-3 advantage in shots.
  • Second Half:  Gettysburg kept pounding at the cage as they outshot Muhlenberg a whopping 16-4 with a goal coming from Klatt in the 66th minute, her second of the season.
  • Overtime: Sophomores Erika Muskus (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) and Molly O'Shea (Reading, Pa./Wilson) took the two shots for the Orange and Blue in the first overtime period. Mukus' shot was turned aside from Juliano, and O'Shea had hers blocked.
  • Second Overtime: In the first double-overtime match of the season, the Bullets' defense did not allow a Mules shot in the period. Sophomore Emma Bedell (Chatham, N.J./Mount Saint Mary) fired the first shot seven minutes in, which was blocked, while Muskus blasted another, but it was saved, once again, by Juliano.
By the Numbers
  • The Bullets outshot the Mules 29-8 and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks. Gettysburg controlled the match in the second half when it outshot the Mules 16-4 and gained four corners.
