Fifth Career Tournament Crown for Reyes
Reyes, who is currently ranked second in the nation at 165, won his fifth career in-season tournament title with a perfect 4-0 record this weekend. After winning his first bout on Friday, he edged Steven Ocampo of Johnson & Wales, 3-2, in Saturday mornings quarterfinals and eased past Matt Surich, 8-3, in the semifinals to move into the title bout.
Â
In the championship match, he met York's Eric Hutchinson and scored a 10-4 victory to run his school-record winning streak to 32 matches. Ironically, the last time Reyes suffered a loss was two years in the title bout of the New Standard Invite, when he fell, 5-4, to Ithaca's Austin Whitney.
Â
With his run this weekend, Reyes improved to 8-0 on the year and 94-24 in his career. His 94 wins rank third in school history and he is now just one win shy of tying Eric Fishel (2004-08) for second on Johns Hopkins' career victories list.

Paul Places Sixth, Notches 50th Career Victory
Paul went 3-2 on day two of the tournament to place sixth overall. Bounced to the consolation bracket in his first match on Friday, he won four consecutive matches, including his first three on Saturday, to earn his sixth-place showing. He recorded his 50
th career victory with his second win on Saturday, a 7-3 decision against Johnson & Wales' Christian Murphy.
