WILMINGTON, DE. – Senior
Jordan Pick fired an 81 on day two of the Swarthmore Invitational to lead the Ursinus College men's golf team to a tied for ninth place finish on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bears had five members compete at the DuPont Country Club and totaled a 671 (+103) throughout the two-day tournament after finishing with a first-round score of 336 and final round score of 335. Swarthmore won the team title with a final tally of 610, Goucher College placed second with a score of 619, while Arcadia took third with a team total of 620. Swarthmore's B-Team (624) finished fourth overall while Muhlenberg College rounded out the top-five teams with a 637.
Pick finished tied for 14
th overall with a final tally of 158 (+16) after finishing with a final round score of 81. Pick tallied a 77 on day one and closed out his tournament with three birdies after collecting birdies on the par-5 18
th hole throughout each of his two rounds.
Junior
Evan Coffey signed for 84 on day one and wrapped up his tournament with an 83 on his final round. Coffey finished 36
th overall with a final score of 167 with his tournament highlight coming this morning after collecting a birdie on the par-4 1
st hole. On Monday, Coffey tallied eight straight pars at one point from holes three through ten while finishing his front nine with a 40.
Senior
Nick Troha finished tied for 37
th overall after shooting an 84 throughout each of his two rounds. On Monday he recorded a birdie and six pars before closing out his round on Tuesday with a total of eight pars. Classmate
T.J. Stanton finished 49
th overall after shooting four shots improved on Tuesday with an 87. His second round was highlighted by shooting a 38 on the back nine after totaling pars on six of the nine holes.
Senior
Joey Mullen rounded out the five Bears' competing by finishing 58
th overall with a final score of 204. He was consistent throughout the two days shooting a 102 during both of his outings.
The Bears return to action on Thursday as they travel to Makefield Highlands Golf Course for the Arcadia Spring Invitational.
