THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had eight different athletes post a top-eight finish in the season opening Diplomat Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
THE LEADERS

Caden Giordano (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) led the Bullets with a pair of third-place finishes in the horizontal jumps. He moved up to seventh place on the program's all-time list in the triple jump with a leap of 12.64 meters while also clearing 6.12 meters in the long jump. Both marks hit the Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying standard.

Aidan Kiernan (Pelham Manor, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) added a third-place finish in the 60 with a CC-qualifying time of 7.25 seconds.

Arthur Keegan (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) hit the conference standard in both of his sprints. He placed seventh in the 60 with a time of 7.29 seconds to move into a tie for eighth on the program's all-time list. He was also 11th in the 200 with a time of 24.23 seconds. Keegan also competed in the shot put, placing 21st (10.95 meters).

Kyle Northrup (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) made his collegiate debut with a second-place showing in the 400. His time of 53.54 seconds hit the conference-qualifying mark.

Gavin Springer also made his debut with a trio of CC qualifiers. He debuted at 10th place on the program's all-time list in the 60 with a time of 7.30 seconds, placing eighth in the field. He also crossed seventh in the 200 with a time of 24.07 seconds. In the long jump, he was 11th with a jump of 5.83 meters.

Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum School) posted a time of 15:52.19 to place eighth in the 5,000. The conference-qualifying time ranks 10th in program history.

Eric Liedtka (Hopewell, N.J./Notre Dame) finished eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.15 seconds. He was also 14th in the 200 (24.30) to round out a pair of conference-qualifying times.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Dominic DiLuzio (Chadds Ford, Pa./Garnet Valley) made his indoor debut with a ninth-place finish in the 3,000 with a time of 9:56.49.

Mick Lorenger (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison) made his indoor debut with a ninth-place finish in the 1,000 with a time of 2:51.49.
•
Luke DeMato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) turned in a pair of personal-best jumps, placing 13thi n the long jump (5.69 meters) and 15th in the triple jump (10.37).
•
Joe Zimbler (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown East) finished 19th in the mile with a personal-best time of 5:09.02.
THE INSIDE STORY

Hayden Johnson (Henrico, Va./Collegiate School) finished 14th in the 400 (57.21 seconds).
•
Robby Cerra (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) debuted with a 15th-place finish in the 400 (57.50).
•
Andrew Cappello (Medford, N.J. /Shawnee) placed 15th in the weight throw (8.30 meters) and 33rd in the shot put (9.47).
•
Josh Judson (Arvada, Colo./Faith Christian) crossed 20th in the 800 with a time of 2:11.72.
•
Jamir Wesley (Philadelphia, Pa./Mastery Charter Shoemaker) placed 21st in the 400 with a time of 1:02.45.
•
Joe Kressen (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) was 42nd in the 200 (28.03 seconds) and 45th in the 60 (8.38).
