The Franklin & Marshall (4-1-1, 0-1 CC) men's soccer team hosts William Paterson (3-2-1) on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The Diplomats then travel to play a Centennial Conference game against McDaniel (5-1, 0-1 CC) Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Last Week

The Diplomats began last week with a 2-1 win in a thriller against Penn State-Harrisburg. Koa Kaliebe sent a crossing pass that was headed into the back of the net by Oscar Horwitz to put F&M up 1-0 in the first half. PSU-Harrisburg responded with the equalizer off a penalty kick in the 85th minute of play. Off a free kick in the 89th minute, Shay Adamson sent a pass into the box that was headed back out by a Lion defender. Adamson gathered the rebound and sent a bouncing shot through the crowded box and into the net to win the game for F&M. Read the recap here.

F&M opened Centennial Conference play with a 1-0 victory over Washington Saturday evening at Tylus Field. After a scoreless first half, the Diplomats attacked the offensive area early. Koa Kaliebe dribbled past the WAC defense towards the end line. Kaliebe then sent a centering pass to a crashing Oscar Horwitz who planted a shot into the open area of the net to put F&M up 1-0. The Diplomats displayed a tough defensive stand, only allowing three shots on net. Read the recap here.

Last Time

The 24th-ranked Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team cruised to a 6-1 win over William Paterson during the 2021 season. Steven Yakita '21 and A.J. Kopacz '21 scored two goals each in the win. Adam Green and Magnus Parente '21 scored the other two Diplomat goals in the match. F&M sent 12 shots on goal during the game. Kopacz '21 and Koa Kaliebe earned two assists each. Ranked 25th, the F&M men's soccer team shutout McDaniel 3-0 in their 2021 matchup. A.J. Kopacz '21 scored the games opening goal in the 28th minute. Kopacz' goal was the only score of the first half. Shay Adamson added an insurance goal in the 47th minute, before Philip Monos scored in the 67th minute to put the Diplomats ahead 3-0. F&M outshot McDaniel 17-5 in the win. Sam Farrell only needed to make two saves to earn the victory. Read the recap here.

William Paterson Team Preview

The Pioneers begin the 2022 season above .500 through six games with wins against Brooklyn, Keystone, and the City College of New York. William Paterson has dropped two games to Muhlenberg and Scranton. WPU also has a tie against Centenary (N.J.). Midfielder Roger Bermejo leads the Pioneer offense in goals (three) and points (six). Goalkeeper Thomas Hatch has a 2.86 goals-against average and a save percentage of 65.2 percent.

McDaniel Team Preview

The Green Terror got off to a hot start for the 2022 campaign, winning five straight games before losing 3-1 to Muhlenberg. McDaniel's wins against Immaculata, Penn, Marywood, Hood, and Goucher. Midfielder Nick Starr and forward AJ Nordone are tied for the team in goals with four. With an assist during the season, Starr edges Nordone for the team lead in points with nine. Goalkeeper Austin Heid holds a 0.67 goals-against average with a save percentage of 77.8 percent. Heid also has four shutouts so far this fall.
