ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Swarthmore College Field Hockey took an early lead at Elizabethtown College on Wednesday but ultimately lost 2-1 in a shootout.

Ali Baratta scored Swarthmore's goal unassisted in the fourth minute of the game. She now leads the team with 13 points this season and is second with five goals behind freshman
Marion Carr (6).
Elizabethtown tied the game at one in the 59th minute.
Both the Garnet (5-9) and Blue Jays (13-2) took five shots in the shootout. Swarthmore didn't make any, and Elizabethtown made its fifth shot to win the game.

Zelda Bank made nine saves on Wednesday just one game after reaching 400 career saves.
Swarthmore outshot Elizabethtown 16-15 in the game, and the Blue Jays took 24 penalty corners compared to nine for the Garnet.
The Garnet have three games remaining on their schedule, all of which are against Centennial Conference opponents. Swarthmore's next game is at Gettysburg College on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
