HERSHEY, Pa. (April 4, 2022) – In their second official spring showing, the Bullets men's golf team took sixth place in a crowded field at the Hershey Cup, hosted by Hershey Country Club East. Freshman Graeme Hollingshead (Basking Ridge, N.J./Gill St. Bernard's) tied the school record for a low round, shooting a 67 (-3).
 
With a combined score of 601 (+41), Gettysburg stayed in the top third with steady play across Sunday and Monday.
 
Hollingshead finished atop the Gettysburg quintet on Monday. The numbers stacked on the front nine, including birdies on holes six, seven and nine. Two more birdies came on the back nine, and par golf almost every other hole vaulted him 36 positions on the leaderboard.
 
Fellow freshman Thibault Eelen (Waregem, Belgium/Sint-Paulus School Campus College) set up a strong day one with his round of 72 (+2). That score also began with a robust front nine, setting him up at -1 at the turn. Bogeys on holes 11-13 put him back in the plus column, but the Belgian righted the ship with par golf on the next four.
 
Sophomore Cam Deiuliis (Highland, Md./River Hill) stayed consistent with a pair of 75 (+3) scores, and a 74 (+2) from senior Hayden Moffat (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) helped the first day's tally. Evan Drummond (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) added a 161 total with dependable totals of 80 (+10) and 81 (+11).
 
Wittenberg won the event, posting a cumulative score of 582 (+22).  
 
Next up for Gettysburg is a trip to the Midwest and the D3 Showcase in French Lick, Indiana. Competition begins at 8:30 a.m. at the French Lick Resort.
