HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Track & Field secured a win at Saturday's McElligott Invitational at Haverford College with 165 points, finishing eight points ahead of the next closest competitor, Widener College.
Swarthmore had multiple first-place finishes on the day. The Garnet claimed first in the 4x200 and 4x400 relays. In the 4x2,
Adil Belgaumi,
Robert Eppley,
Judah Raab and
Benjamin Hejna won with a time of 1:35.93. In the 4x4,
Benjamin Warren,
Jordan Reyes,
Daniel Belkin and Raab won with a time of 3:33.45.
Eppley darted to first place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.25.
Jordan Reyes had the top college time in the 800 meters (2:02.62).
Junior
Vaughn Parts captured the top placement in the 3,000 meters with a mark of 8:53.82.
The Garnet also cleaned up in the field events.
Jared Hunts throw of 14.95 meters in the shot put gave him first place. The triple jump and high jump both went to
Daniel Belkin with leaps of 13.02 meters and 1.85 meters, respectively.
Swarthmore returns to action on Feb. 2 at the Frank Colden Invite.
