CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson College handed the Gettysburg College men's soccer team its second Centennial Conference loss of the season as they topped the Bullets 2-0 at Miller Memorial.
With today's loss at Dickinson, Gettysburg now holds a tie-for-second place with Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference standings.
Freshman goalkeeper
Dillon Konzelmann (New Providence, N.J./New Providence) made four stops for the Bullets, while Frederick Meagher had three saves for Dickinson.
The Red Devils netted their first goal seven minutes into the opening half as the team's leading scorer Kevin Gilbert notched the unassisted tally.
The Bullets mustered six shots in the second half, but the Red Devils would strike again at the 86th minute to secure the 2-0 conference victory.
Dickinson outshot Gettysburg 14-10 and held the 8-3 advantage on corner kicks.
Gettysburg resumes its schedule on Wednesday as they play at No. 16th ranked, by the United Soccer Coaches, Franklin & Marshall for a big Centennial Conference clash starting at 7:00 p.m.
