Kate Crilly (Shrewsbury, N.J./Ranney School) and freshman
Megan Wojnar (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) each posted two individual victories as the Gettysburg College women's swimming team improved to 4-0 this season with a pair of wins in its home debut at the Bullets Pool Saturday.
Gettysburg won a total of six races to secure wins over Messiah College (4-1) and Susquehanna University (2-3). The Bullets out-distanced the Falcons 147-113, while beating the River Hawks 161-99.
Wojnar put Gettysburg in the win column with a competitive battle against sophomore
Katherine Sears (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) in the 1,000 free. The first-year edged her teammate by just over a second with a time of 10:52.24. Wojnar did not touch the wall first in a race for the first time this season with a runner-up performance in the 200 back (2:10.92), but she came right back to overtake sophomore
Sydney Jaramillo (Woolwich Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional) in the final 50 yards of the 200 IM with a time of 2:16.06.
Crilly knocked out wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle races for the second week in a row. She sped to the wall in a time of 24.45 in the 50 before cruising the 100 in 54.33
Senior
Lindsay Hayden (Enfield, Conn./Suffield Academy) won the 200 free for the third time in as many meets. Hayden built a strong advantage through the first 150 yards and cruised to the wall in the final leg on the way to a three-second victory (1:59.18). She also finished runner-up to Crilly in the 100 free with a time of 55.10.
Gettysburg's remaining victory came from freshman
Katie Jenkins (Bow, N.H./Bow) in the 200 butterfly. Jenkins won the race for the second consecutive week, overcoming a slight deficit at the midpoint to win with a time of 2:14.28. The first-year was also the team's top finisher in the 100 fly, placing third in 1:02.09.
Sears added another runner-up showing in the 500 free, finishing just 0.25 seconds behind Caitlin Kelly from Susquehanna. Freshman
Chloe Fuetterer (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) was the second-place finisher in the 100 back (1:04.31) and swam the lead-off leg of the 200 medley relay which finished second. Junior
Katie Idank (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial), Jaramillo, and Crilly joined the first-year on the relay, which came in with a time of 1:54.03.

Katie Cooper (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) in the 50 free (25.39), senior
Maggie Morehouse (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) in the 200 free (2:02.76) and senior
Johnna Hock (Timonium, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) in the 200 breaststroke (2:36.55).
Gettysburg heads to McDaniel College for a Centennial Conference meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
