The Muhlenberg track and field teams had another outstanding day at Moravian's Greyhound Invitational in their second-to-last meet of the regular season.
With two weeks to go until the Centennial Conference Championships, the Mules combined for 31 new or improved CC qualifiers, 13 ECACÂ qualifiers and eight all-time top 10 performances.
The top performance was by junior
Corey Mullins, who set a meet record of 3:52.92 while winning the 1500 meters. By more than a second, he broke a record set seven years ago by a Division I runner from Temple. Mullins' time qualified him for the IC4AÂ Championships and moved him into third place on the Mules' performance list. Entering the weekend, there were only four better times in Division III this season.
Senior
Julia Leep-Lazar (hammer) and freshman
Emily Mitchell (long jump) broke their own school records. To solidify her spot at No. 1, Leep-Lazar threw 111-11 in finishing eighth. Mitchell added more than four inches to the school record she set last week, placing third in 17-9¾.
Senior
Emily Davidson came in second in the 800, while seniors
Jamie Pacilio and
Mallory Snyder finished 2-3 in the 5K, with all three posting ECAC-qualifying times.
Sophomore
Stephanie Ng (pictured above left) placed fourth in the 10,000, logging the ninth-fastest time in program history. Women steeplechasers
Alyssa Curtis (sixth) and
Cameron McCauley (ninth) also made the Mules' performance list, with McCauley improving her time by almost a minute.
Sophomore
Kem MontinaÂ
(pictured above right) ran a personal best in the 400 hurdles to place fourth and move from seventh to sixth on the all-time performance list.
