WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Gettysburg College wrestling team won six of the first seven bouts on the way to a 27-15 victory in its Centennial Conference at McDaniel College Friday night.

Ogozalek ran off the final eight points in an 8-2 decision, while Malamut held Charles Wallace scoreless in a 10-0 major decision.

After McDaniel (3-6, 0-1 CC) won its first match by pin, the Bullets ran off four consecutive wins. Freshman Traken Sutton (Wethersfield, Conn./Loomis Chaffee) completed regulation tied 1-1 with Erik Meyer at 157 pounds, but the Gettysburg grappler scored a quick takedown in sudden victory for a 3-1 decision.

Merrigan dominated after giving up an early takedown to Wade Bishop at 165, scoring three takedowns on the way to an 11-3 win. Ebert surrendered only one point in beating Ronnie Wuest 13-1 at 174 pounds.

McDaniel pulled to 21-15 after a pin and overtime victory in the next two bouts, but sophomore Paul Triandafilou (Derwood, Md./Georgetown Prep) put the match to rest with his second pin of the season at heavyweight.
