Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Tullo Scores 100th; Women's Lax Gives F&M Tough Game

Junior Amanda Tullo scored three goals, including the 100th of her career, as the Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team hung tough with seventh-ranked Franklin & Marshall before falling, 15-12, in its regular-season finale.

The Mules, who also got four goals from senior Jordy Bonvini, await word on an ECAC Tournament berth.

Muhlenberg controlled play for the first 10-plus minutes, taking a 3-1 lead on Tullo's second goal of the game with 19:39 left in the half. The Diplomats (15-3, 9-0) came back with the next four goals, but the Mules netted the next two, tying the score at 5-5 on a free-position shot by sophomore Victoria Friedel with 4:41 on the clock.

A 7-1 run spread over halftime gave F&M a seemingly commanding lead at 12-6 midway through the second half. Again Muhlenberg (7-8, 3-6) came back, scoring four straight goals to draw within two on a tally by sophomore Emma Charron with 6:35 left.

Charron scored again at the 5:30 mark to make it 13-11, but the Mules could not get any closer.

Tullo (pictured above) became the 15th player in program history to reach the century mark in goals with her sixth hat trick in the last seven games. Bonvini's four goals moved her into third place on the Mules' all-time list with 161 for her career. She also controlled seven draws.

The 12 goals were the most allowed by the Diplomats in a Centennial Conference game this season.

Junior Caroline Dolan had an outstanding game, finishing with eight draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Sophomore Jordan Segrave reached double figures in saves for the fifth time in the last six games, stopping 14 shots.
