ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Junior
Danny Harcourt (Fanwood, N.J./Saint Peter's Prep) finished just one stroke off the lead, capturing runner-up honors for the Gettysburg College men's golf team at the McDaniel Spring Invitational on Sunday at the Bridges Golf Club.

The Bullets shot a 316 in the final round on Sunday to finish with a 36-hole score of 630. Gettysburg placed fourth out of nine teams, placing in front of Swarthmore (639), McDaniel "Gold" (644), Dickinson (647), St. John Fisher (655), and Eastern (676). Franklin & Marshall and York (Pa.) tied for first with a 628, but York was awarded the team title due to a tiebreaking procedure. McDaniel finished in third with a 629.

Harcourt stayed hot after winning the Dickinson Invitational this past Tuesday. At McDaniel, Harcourt opened with a 76 on Saturday before dropping to a 75 on Sunday to finish with a 151, just one stroke behind Colin McGaugh of St. John Fisher (75-75=150).

The Bullets placed two additional competitors in the top-12. Sophomore
Ethan Murphy (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) carded a season-low 75 to finish tied for eighth among 55 competitors with a 155 (80-75) while junior
Dane Sethre-Hofstad (Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead) tied for 12th with a 158 (78-80). Rounding out the team score was senior
Jake Ecke (Prospect, Conn./Cheshire), who tied for 34th with a 166 (80-86).

Four additional Bullets were in action, and the team's fourth through sixth-best finishers were all competing as individuals. Freshman
Jimmy Harcourt (Fanwood, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) tied for 15th with a 159 (80-79) while classmates
Quinn Greene (New Milford, Conn./Canterbury School) (81-81) and
Daniel Rieger (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) (77-85) tied for 21st with a 162. Junior
Alec Dempsey (Bolton, Mass./Nashoba Regional) was also in action and finished with a 184 (89-95).
