Box Score Frederick, Md. – Hood jumped out to an early lead and the Bullets were not able to recover as the host Blazers defeated Gettysburg 12-3 in a non-conference baseball meet up on Sunday afternoon.
Hood (7-0) led 6-0 through four innings. The Bullets were able to cut the deficit to 6-2 in the top of the fifth but Hood responded with four runs in the bottom of the frame to make the score 10-2.

Sean Murphy (Westfield, Mass. /Westfield) combined to go 5-for-10 at the plate for the Bullets (0-1). Probst went 1-for-2 while scoring once and walking twice. LaCoe went 3-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Murphy went 2-for-4 with a run scored in his collegiate debut. In addition,
Tyler Mitchell (Arnold, Md. /Broadneck) had two RBIs with a sac fly and a RBI ground out.
Senior
Brad DeMartino (Westfield, N.J. /Westfield) started on the mound for the Bullets and recorded a loss on the day, giving up six runs on eight hits while striking out five over four innings. Junior
Brendan Wright (Bayville, N.Y. /Locust Valley) made his collegiate pitching debut and throw two scoreless innings in relief with two strikeouts.
Cam Esposito led Hood going 3-for-4 with four RBIs while pitcher Nate Luscombe picked up the win.
Gettysburg's next game will be on Tuesday, when they visit Stevenson University at 3 p.m.
