LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country finished 14th overall out of 39 teams in Saturday's Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle with 383 points. The team averaged a time of 23:10 for the 6K race.
Senior
Xiaojing Zeng collected 29 points for Swarthmore with a time of 22:21.2, just cracking the sub-six minute mile pace with an average of 5:59.6 per mile.
Pheobe Whiteside crossed the finish line in 23 minutes flat for 62 points.
Kenzie Himelein-Wachowiak was just four seconds behind her for the 67th spot in the scoring.
Freshman
Nora Blodgett posted a time of 23:33.1 for Swarthmore's fourth scoring time and 103 points. Fellow first year
Rose Teszler broke into the Garnet's top five with a time of 23:50.8
For the Garnet, they'll take the next two weeks to prepare for the Centennial Conference Championship on Oct. 27.
